ACA compliance: Why your 2015 strategy won’t work and what to do in 2016
Out with the old 70% compliance threshold, and in with the new 95% compliance threshold. This year employers have much less room for error when it comes to calculating eligibility, offering benefits, and remaining compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations.
Looking forward, the 95% compliance threshold is officially in effect, and many employers are anxious to know what steps they can take to minimize risk and avoid penalties. The stakes are much higher for the upcoming reporting season, and if you’re like most employers, you don’t want history to repeat itself. Even with the extended deadlines and acceptance of a “good faith effort”, most organizations struggled to complete 1094s and 1095s in order to meet deadlines.
In this session, Lewis and Taylor will provide an overview of the lessons learned from their experience helping employers manage ACA compliance for over 37 million employees. They’ll provide tips on how you can best prepare for this year’s reporting and ways in which you can avoid potential fines ahead of time.
- How to prepare for potential changes and new requirements in 2016 – before it’s too late
- The top compliance challenges faced by employers in 2015 and how to overcome them
