Arizona Job Training Program Change
Effective for applications submitted on or after June 20, 2014, businesses seeking grants through the Arizona Job Training Program will be subject to recent changes. The Arizona Job Training Program provides grants up to $8,000 per employee for training new employees, and up to $4,000 per employee for training incumbent employees. Grants for new employee training will continue to be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, but grants for incumbent employees are now being awarded on the basis of random, blind drawings. Three incumbent drawings are scheduled for rural, small, and all other businesses. The drawing for rural businesses will take place on August 13, 2014, the drawing for small businesses (less than 100 employees company-wide) will take place on August 27, 2014, and the drawing for all other businesses will take place on September 10, 2014.
Businesses wishing to be considered for incumbent grants must file an “Election to Participate” form by midnight two days before the drawing date. Selected businesses must then submit the grant application within 30 days of the selection notice from the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA). If your business would like to be considered for training grants in Arizona or any other state, please contact Equifax Workforce Solutions to get the process started.
