California Enterprise Zone Program – Vouchering Clarification
Finally, great news for companies that participate in the California Enterprise Zone Program! Last night the California Legislature passed AB 106. The Governor is expected to sign the bill in the coming weeks. Under this bill, companies may now apply for a CAEZ voucher and the local agency must issue a voucher through January 1, 2015. This legislation clears up much confusion and will allow employers to receive a voucher certification for employees hired on or before 12/31/2013.
The voucher clarification is great news for employers and California Enterprise Zone Agencies. AB 106 also clarifies that the 10 year carryover period for companies with unused California EZ credits begins in 2014. Equifax Workforce Solutions will keep you informed as more details are released regarding the implementation of AB 106.
