Georgia Issues Revised 2012 Unemployment Tax Rates
Georgia unexpectedly issued revised 2012 tax rate notices on March 15, 2012 to all
employers. They increased the basic rate table adjustment from 35% to 50% increasing
all employers’ rates. This move was made in an effort to rebuild the trust fund,
protect against future insolvency and avoid further borrowing from the federal government.
See the following link for a copy of the flyer that was issued with the rate notices.
