Hardee’s & PacSun Webinar– Onboarding Compliance That Pays For Itself

Compliance in Education

What can a retailer get out of an electronic onboarding system? Or a casual dining chain?

How about cutting onboarding time from 4 hours per new hire to a half an hour? How about improving WOTC screening compliance from 16% to 99%?

Those are the kinds of results youth clothing retailer Pacific Sunwear got. Debra Parent, Senior Manager of HR Operations at PacSun talked about this and the electronic onboarding compliance impact at a recent webinar.

Debra and co-speaker Steve Sands, Senior Human Resources Manager at CKE (Hardee’s) had a lively exchange about electronic onboarding and compliance at the webinar. Their discussion included I-9 compliance issues, the special challenges of a young workforce, remote locations, and the financial impact of making WOTC screening a routine part of your electronic onboarding process.

Attendees at the webinar said I-9 compliance was their biggest worry – an issue that electronic onboarding can help with. Compliance Center has an I-9 option but can handle state forms, WOTC screening, acknowledgements, and much more.

In fact, Steve told attendees that Hardee’s paid for the onboarding system with the increased financial impact of WOTC screening. The onboarding process implemented at Hardee’s also helped reduce I-9 errors and improve general onboarding compliance.
