We’re you able to be at the HiMSS Conference this year? We had quite a bit of discussion around EMRs and the pending Meaningful Use deadlines – particularly the security and fraud issues associated with those goals. We also heard from attendees that they are looking for more information about:
- Identity proofing at patient portals to validate that an identity has not already been flagged for fraud or identity theft and that it is the patient you are expecting.
- Screening healthcare providers to limit fraud through an up-front vetting of those joining your network or seeking reimbursement for care and equipment.
- Improving patient outcomes through a careful matching of patient identity and multiple healthcare records associated with that patient.
