HR Compliance Issues – Onboarding that Pays For Itself
Tune in Aug. 6 to hear a pair of HR leaders talk about building better compliance into their onboarding without dinging the budget. In fact (as you’ll hear if you join the webinar) improved WOTC screening brought in enough tax credits to pay for the system.
Debra Parent, Senior Manager of Human Resources Operations at Pacific Sunwear and Steve Sands, a Senior HR Manager for the Hardee’s Food Systems division of CKE, will form a mini-panel to talk about these issues. They’ll be joined by our own Julia Bailey, a Senior Product Director and onboarding expert.
On the agenda:
- I-9 compliance
- The challenges of a younger workforce
- State-by-state forms compliance for new hires
- Better WOTC screening
- And many more HR compliance issues.
Debra of Pacific Sunwear will talk about the difficulties hiring managers had in identifying acceptable verification documents while completing I-9s. She’ll talk about the risks this created. She’ll talk about how an onboarding solution reduced risks and and costs.
Steve of CKE, will discuss compliance-related risks also. He’ll talk about the impact on HR workload of the escalating challenges. He’ll provide details on how WOTC screening improved with the implementation of an electronic system. He’ll provide detail on the financial impact of this improvement.
