New I-9 Release Set for 03/08/13
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced today that the newly revised
Employment Eligibility Verification Form, (Form I-9), will be made available
for use beginning 3/8/2013.
Employers should beginning using the revised form as soon as possible, but have a
60 day implementation window during which they must come into compliance. Employers
continuing to use the prior version after the 60-day window are subject to fines,
as prior versions will be invalidated at that time.
Equifax Workforce Solutions will ensure that its clients will have the electronic
version of the form available and ready to use well ahead of the required date, and
will be developing training and information sessions for interested parties soon.
