President Obama Signs WOTC Extension into Law
Completing the process of making the WOTC extension, and the extension of the business tax extenders, law, President Obama this Morning signed the American Taxpayer Relief Act. The House had previously approved the measure by a 257-167 vote late Tuesday, and the Senate passed it 89-8 the day before. WOTC, and other tax credits including the Federal Empowerment Zone Credit and the Indian Employment Credit, are now extended through the end of 2013. This extension also includes the enhanced veteran eligibility of WOTC created in November of 2011 by the Vow to Hire a Hero Act.
