Are You Prepared To Handle New Obamacare Reporting Requirements? Article featured by TLNT
In an article recently published by TLNT, Equifax’s Kristin Lewis discusses the reporting requirements associated with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and how the Supreme Court’s decision in the King v. Burwell case will impact employers.
Titled “Are You Ready To Handle New Obamacare Reporting Requirements?”, the article explains that the ruling means business as usual for employers, and if anything, organizations must take immediate action to ensure they meet reporting deadlines. The regulations require that Form 1095s are sent to employees by February 1, 2016 and that Form 1095s are filed along with a 1094 transmittal form to the IRS by March 31, 2016.
The article also references a survey about ACA reporting preparedness that was recently published by Equifax and PricewaterhouseCoopers, L.L.P in which the results showed that only 10 percent of respondents have implemented a solution for ACA reporting.
