Restaurants want to do better, but slow to adopt technology solutions
As stated in our earlier blog post, the NRA recently released a restaurant technology report that highlights the fact that the industry is characterized by ‘slow adoption’. So ‘why’ are restaurants moving slowly on the purchase and adoption of technology that could support their business?
From the report:
Restaurants want to do better –
25% of those restaurants surveyed indicated they plan to spend more money and time on technology in 2016. While 4 out of 5 of these same participants also admitted that technology makes them better by: increasing sales, improved productivity, and provides a competitive advantage.
Based on the survey responses mentioned above, there seems to be a high level awareness that technology and best practices will bring real value to a restaurant’s operations; but then perhaps a gap that leads to inaction when it comes to purchasing and implementing technology.
