Threat to California Enterprise Program Ends For Now
Roughly two weeks after Governor Brown shocked Democrats by vetoing their plan to close the
remaining $9.6 billion deficit; he struck a majority-vote budget solution deal between
the Assembly and Senate Democrat leaders. The majority-vote budget package, SB 87,
passed the California General Assembly on June 28, 2011. The
new budget bill contains no new taxes and no extensions for the increase in the personal
income tax, sales and use tax, or the vehicle license fee.
